We extended our car rental for a few more days and headed off to drive to London. The whole driving thing would have been a nightmare without our trusty GPS - it has definitely saved us a lot of time and frustration, not to mention arguments!Leaving our car at our hotel, we caught the tube to Picadilly Circus and after walking out of the underground looked around at all the signs and felt like we were in a game of Monopoly, all those familiar names right in front of us!
We walked off in a random direction and found ourselves at Clarence House, just a stone's throw from Buckingham Palace, St James Park, 10 Downing Street, Big Ben, the London Eye - all those famous sights and we'd only been in town for about an hour or so. We just wandered around following our nose and found so many major sights close by, the extended daylight hours helping us to make the most of the day.
