Day 34 - Swords (Ireland) to Nice (France)
We returned our rental car, happy that the fuel light was flashing and the display showed "---" km left, as we'd pre-paid a tank of petrol when we picked up the car.
The flight was delayed but we finally landed in Nice after 3pm. The weather was 26 degrees and sunny, nice change from Ireland. We caught the tram from the airport into town, then walked for about 10 minutes to pick up the keys to our apartment which is only a block or so from the beach. Unfortunately we had to lug our cases up the stairs to the third floor, but at least we only have to do that once.
Around 6pm we wandered out to walk along the beach promenade, it's a rocky beach but there were still a few people sunbaking. The promenade was wide with a lot of seating either side, and there were lots of walkers, runners and cyclists.
We stopped at a bistro for a drink before heading back to the apartment for dinner.
