Miniature Flat White

Day 8 - Accra

Last day before we head to Togo so we took advantage of our last chance to take it easy.

After breakfast we headed to a nice looking chocolate shop/café on Oxford St. The Google reviews were quite positive and we knew flat whites were on the menu so we thought we might get a decent coffee. The streets were quieter than the day before as today was Constitution Day, a public holiday for the inauguration of the recently elected President.

K must have had a premonition as she changed her order at the last minute to a cappuccino, luckily for her she made the right decision as M's flat white was in a tiny cup with just a bit of milk, looks like someone in the café had read the coffee recipe book wrong!

Cappuccino vs "Flat White" ?

After our coffee we checked out the location of a pub near our hotel, and resolved to head their later in the day for a drink.

K spent the day chilling by the pool, M headed off to get some more cash and visit the supermarket for supplies (in case there were issues with tour food).

We returned to the pub as the sun was setting, once we sat in there and looked at the menu and took stock of the heat and ambience we changed our mind about eating there, and spent the evening back at our nice hotel instead.
